Ministry’s History

Introduction

The call of God is divine and many find it hard to understand and accept the challenges involved. Visionaries are sometimes terrified by the task of their calling, but the God who calls them always stands to take them through. The Army of God Ministries, Inc. (ALGOM) was conceived by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, attested by the signs and wonders that characterize the Church’s daily activities.

Vision

The Army of the Living God Ministries was conceived in September, 1991 during a prayer meeting. The mandate from the Lord was to raise an Army that will pursue the enemy and set the captive free and to build the Kingdom of God in the hearts of people. The Name of the Ministry and church biblical references are as follow:

“The Army of the Living God Ministries is from 1 Samuel 27:26b and Overcomers’ church from 1 John: 4; 4:4 and Revelation 12:11. The Lord had the visionary on the Old Road, Sinkor, and Montserrado to begin this work.

Vision Fulfillment

This vision was not implemented unit November 5, 1995. Overcomers’ first place of worship was under a TENT Edifice with only eight (8) persons. Later, as the membership grew, the edifice was changed into a Bamboo built structure with Tarpaulin as roof. It was in 2001 that the erection of concrete wall began around the bamboo build one. Today, the Army of the Living God Ministries, Inc. has up to six (6) branches in Liberia.

4. Overcomers’ Harrisburg, Harrisburg Township, Montserrado County

6. Overcomers’ Central Church, Old Road, Montserrado County

Vision Goal

To propagate the end time Gospel of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Church Planting

Taking the Gospel to Rural-none believers, preaching in the name of Jesus Christ. Delivering souls in bondage by the Power of the Holy Spirit. The goal include the training of men and women to take up the sword of thee Spirit, equip them too put on the breastplate of righteousness  declaring the Gospel with boldness and faith. To raise an Army to pursue the enemy and set the captives (those in boldness) free. And the establishment of Bible School (college); Hospital, Feed Orphans & Widows; Radio and Television Station; Christian Library, Printing Press and Agriculture Farms.
